HPA Events

SUA’s Health Professions Advising prepares students to transform their humanistic education into impactful careers in health.

Through immersive events, practical workshops, and strategic advising, students gain the knowledge and experience needed to enter competitive graduate programs and contribute meaningfully across clinical, research, and public health fields.

Our programming includes:

  • Advising sessions and orientation events to support career planning and application preparation
  • The Introduction to Clinical Medicine series, offering case-based learning in diagnosis, care, and patient communication
  • Clinical skills workshops to build foundational techniques such as taking vital signs, performing physical exams, suturing, and laparoscopy training
  • Mock entrance exams, including the MCAT, DAT, and others, to support strategic test preparation
  • Guest speaker forums featuring professionals from medicine, nursing, public health, global health, and health policy
